How Church Works 2010
February 3rd - 6th
Conference Summary
Consumers build their lives around themselves. Soldiers build their lives around a mission.
Consumers look for the best deal for the least cost. Soldiers will endure a raw deal: for the sake of the mission, they are willing to suffer.
Consumers do what they want. Soldiers do what their commander wants (2 Tim 2:3-4).
Ours is now a "consumer" society. Its people join a church with a "what's in it for me" mentality. How can "me-oriented" people be turned into spiritual warriors and spiritual leaders? Consumer 2 Commando will look at the processes by which that can happen.
